How do you put a book you bought on your own nook on another nook.

I bought a book and my mom wanted to read it without buying it again. Not sure how to transfer the book and need help?

I have a Kindle, so I don’t know if this works exactly the same for Nook books. But on the Kindle, you can log in to your account, select the book, and there’s a button you can click to loan it to someone else. You just enter their email address, then they follow the instructions to download it. You can’t read it during that time, and it’s limited in duration, like a library book. And the publisher has to allow lending. So, try logging in to your B&N account and seeing if there’s something similar. Pokemon books for free

how to download books for kindle or nook.

I’m going to be purchasing some e-reader soon(most likely the kindle) but before i do i was wondering if there was someway to download books from some other source for cheaper than normal? kinda like some sort of napster for e-readers? I like to read books but don’t really know if i would want to pay $10…

First off, as an author I am going to try to put away from sadness that you are looking for a way to steal someone’s hard work and give you some options where you can get cheaper books without making the 12 hours of work a day an author puts into their hard earned finished products be all in vain. (stepping off soapbox now to give some practical advice :)1st-if you get a Kindle, which I have and highly recommend, Amazon offers a ton of free and discounted books (legit I might add) The following link will take you to Amazon Kindle’s bestsellers, if you notice, the column on the left is paid books ( many as cheap as 99cents) and on the right is the free column: you are an avid reader, consider becoming a “professional reader” by starting a book review blog or something of the sort, and you can have access to digital Advanced Reader Copies. My favorite website for this is However, you must be a responsible reader and prove yourself before they dish out a ton of books to you. I’ve cultivated a relationship with the publishers on that site and I have over a hundred books waiting in my queue, all free.3rd-The library is really embracing ebooks. As far as i know, you can check out ebooks at the library which stay on your Kindle for 2 weeksPlease, I implore you, find legitimate ways to get your books. You have no idea how much work goes into writing a book. There are plenty of ways to get them at reduced prices, or even free. If you are interested in starting book blog, please feel free to take a look at mine. I have all the free books I want 🙂 http://www.thebookbuff.blogspot.comP.S. I highly recommend the Kindle over any other e-readers. The colored readers are very bad for your eyes, and since the Kindle is an Amazon product, the books are cheaper than say the Barnes and Noble Nook.

How do I put ebooks on my nook.

I know it takes PDF files but I’m not sure how to put it on. Help?

Read actual books! Because, what if you run out of battery, will you just have to stop reading? With actual books, you can read for however long you want. And what if something goes wrong with the Kindle, like it breaks or something? With actual books, you can’t “break” a book, you can tear a page but you can just tape it back.Books are meant to be read on paper, not a screen. That’s how it always has been until the invention of e-books which are silly. Don’t we people get enough screens and buttons in our lives? Why must we read books on screens, that’s like the only thing left that people read on paper. Hell, even newspapers are starting to go down because people read the news on their computers. It doesn’t count to read a book on a screen and call yourself an avid reader. I think it would be sad to see books totally die out so please, can you help keep books alive by not buying an e-book? Please?~Cherry Bomb

Go to SmashWords.comOnce you upload your files for e-book conversion … and upon Smashwords approval … your book will be formatted for most e-readers and made available for full distribution to Barnes & Noble (Nook), Amazon (Kindle), Sony, Apple (iPad), etc. It takes a few weeks for this distribution to be set in place. Your book will, however, will be immediately available on Smashwords. If you want faster Kindle availability, just go to Amazon’s Kindle Direct and upload. It takes just a few days before it goes live.Deana

how do i put my kindle books through the computer to put on my other E-reader.

i have a kindle with some books on it. i have just bought another E-reader which is not a kindle. i would like to put my kindle books onto my computer then put then onto my other E-reader. i have no idea how to do this can someone please help me?

You don’t. When you purchase an ebook through Amazon (or Sony, or B&N), you purchase a license to read the content on a Kindle or a device running the Kindle Reader app. That’s all. The books have DRM on them, and stripping or circumventing that DRM is a federal crime, even if it’s for non-profit personal use. It’s also a federal crime to buy or sell software that facilitates stripping or circumventing DRM. You can read the books on a tablet that can run the Kindle Reader app, or a computer running the app, but you can’t read them on something like a Nook or Kobo or Sony Reader.

Kindle Vs.Nook and how they work.

Can you buy books at Barnes and Noble for the Nook? Are books able to go between the two?

Kindle is better you can put PDF files on there and get the book from anywhere while with the Nook you can only get books from Barnes and Noble. Oh and with the Nook you can borrow books from other users who have a nook for two weeks. You can also read books free for a whole hour at Barnes and Nobles but I still think the Kindle is better.HERE IS A BIT EXTRA TO HELPI personally prefer the Kindle. Here are the reasons why there different.-Kindle is in black and white, while the nook has color-The nook is touch screen while the kindle is not-If your friend has a nook you could borrow books from each other with your nook. It’s like a blue tooth only you won’t have the book when it’s borrowed.-You can read books free with the nook for a whole hour at any barnes and noble store. They both have wireless and Mp3 which is a plus, because I love music while I read. But both Wireless are equal. You can browse on there websites or Amazon. I find it easy.-Kindle has text to speech-Webster dictionary when you get stuck on a word-Over 1,000 free ebooks most are classic-Read a free chapter digially from your kindle in sixty seconds.-Buy a book instanly with your kindle-The kindle screen doesn’t strain your eyes while you read like a computer does over time-The battery can last for a whole month without using it-1 year warranty if something happens to your kindle*Nook Cost $249 (really beautiful)*Kindle 3g Cost$179

How to download books on NOOK without a Credit Card.

We just bought our daughter a NOOK (black and white) for her birthday. She tried downloading a free book from the B&N website but it is now asking her for a credit card. We want to know how can can set it up where we put in our CC information without her having access to it at all times (she would order tons of…

Well, unfortunately, Amazon Kindle books are not compatible with B&N Nook. You can download a free Kindle reading app on your computer and buy the book and read it on the computer, but you can’t transfer it to the Nook. And even to get free books, the Nook requires an account with a valid credit card, even though it doesn’t charge the card for the free books. I have my Nook set up so that every time I buy a book it asks me for a password. I do that to stop impulse purchases, but you can do that to keep her from buying books without your permission.

  6. The only difference between the Kindle and the Nook is that you buy books off of Amazon for the Kindle and you buy them form Barnes&Noble for the Nook. So it’s really a choice between do you prefer Amazon or Barnes&Noble. really. Hop i helped!!! 😀

  7. Because of all the support by Amazon, I would have to say the Fire would be the best choice.I have 2 sony readers and use and who have lots of free books and they are legal. I find downloading easy for the Sony. My 505 version came with 100 free books and my touch came with Dan Brown’s Lost Symbol for free, the deal changes so look at what is on offer now.root the nook, otherwise none of this is possible. follow nook root instructions, all over the web.

  8. Turn on the nook. Press the “n” on the bottom of the nook. Go to “settings”, and press “shop”(sixth box down from the top). Once you do that, there is an option to require password. Press that. It will prompt you to create a password. Make sure the box is checked off, which means the password is required before purchase. Once this is checked off, your password will be required before the purchase of every book.

  9. – Nook Color is better as a color e-Reader than Kindle simply because it has color and Kindle is black and white. Content that greatly benefits from color – such as kids books and magazines – looks much better and sharper on Nook Color’s screen.

  10. Most publishers and authors sell ebooks in Kindle format. You can also download public domain ebooks (anything published before 1923 is in the public domain, which means it’s legal to download for free) from and You’ll want them in Kindle, .mobi or .azw format.

  13. Un Kindle es siempre muy útil porque es más fácil disfrutar de la lectura sin tener que llevar demasiado peso, en Amazon hay la mejor oferta de estos dispositivos fantásticos y al mejor precio como se puede ver en este link,Kindles are frightening because of fact it form of feels to me that e book covers are paintings. This exceedingly has been authentic interior the previous century. of course, paintings is much better whilst it fairly is tangible. could you extremely have a digital photograph of the Mona Lisa, or a fifteen dollar print? even if neither are the authentic element, i in my view could have the print. yet another element: A Kindle with 4 hundred books would not look as magnificent as some bookcases with 4 hundred books.

  14. * Improved PDF reader with zoom facility.* Smaller, slimmer, lighter design (but keeping the same 6″ screen size).

  15. The cloud storage at Amazon is unlimited because they do not need 100,000 copies of a movies or of a book.

  16. I received two books from an author free, and she told me I could download them, but I don t know how to download them. Can you help me?

  17. ……………

  18. Nook (unlike Kindle) can be used for renting text-ebooks.

  19. * A new VoiceGuide “read to me” menu.EDIT: Amazon does not necessarily have lower prices on all of their e-books. I did a comparison between the Sony Reader store and Amazon for the Dresden Files, Scott Westerfeld’s Leviathan, and Kathryn Stockett’s The Help. The prices were identical.

  21. Improved PDF support – PDFs finally support notes and highlights and it makes a big difference for everyone using PDFs (students, academics, etc.). There are 6 contrast settings for PDFs which is useful and Kindle 3 also supports password protected PDFs.* Support for more font styles and scripts including Chinese (traditional and simplified), Japanese, Korean, Cyrillic (Russian), Latin and Greek.

  22. * New mp3 support. Download music or podcasts onto your new Kindle to listen on the go or simply as background music whilst you read.

  23. * New web-browser with support for easy posting of your favorite passages to Facebook and Twitter.Accessibility – The combination of the Voice Guide and the Text to Speech feature gives low vision and blind readers their first usable, cheap Kindle.

  24. – Nook Color is better as an e-Reader in general than iPad. It has a new generation screen which is anti-glare coated and is better performing in sunlight than iPad’s. Also, as it’s smaller in size than iPad, the text appears sharper on Nook’s screen. Also it has 12,000 (more soon) kids books that are built as a game with feedback.

  25. * Improved battery life (read for a month with Wifi switched off).I have to point out that the Kindle can’t use library e-books because of the DRM embedded in each book from Adobe that allows the file to be accessed for no more than 2 weeks. It’s an issue between Amazon and Adobe and until it is resolved a public library’s e-books can be read on almost any device other than the Kindle.

  26. * Massively increased storage to cope with up to 3500 books.

  27. they didn’t ask for your personal opinion, cherry bomb, and you did not answer the question

  28. Waterstone’s have cheap books available too, which is where I get most of my modern ebooks from.

  29. * Darker, more defined fonts.

  30. Amazon Kindle at amazon $189

  31. – Nook Color has been picked as the editors choice by PC Magazine while pro reviewers of other sites (CNET, ZDNet, Engadget, AllThingsDigital, etc.) mentioned that it tested to be pretty fast for apps and PDF’s, and has a beautiful screen. Most public libraries use OverDrive Media for their e-book collection and it lists directly on its website which devices are incompatible:

  32. Once you put in your credit card information you can require a password before purchase.

  33. Television is only educational if you are viewing a documentary or something similar

  34. * Softer feel to the back, making the new Kindle 3 easier to hold onto. You can’t share books between Nooks and Kindles. Kindle is the best option out there. I LOVE it!!! I found links to the best models. Just check out the reviews and you’ll see. Kindle is AMAZING!

  35. Simple you have to pay off the bells you borrowed a thorny situation indeed lol hm?

  36. You can read about it at B&N:

  37. * Built in Wifi.

  38. Amazon Kindle at amazon $189

  39. Kindle 3 is definitely an amazing device.* These are just some of the highlights of the new generation Kindle 6″ wireless reading device.Unfortunately, kindle and nook books are not compatible. You cannot get a kindle books to a nook. You may want to try your local library if it has an ebook lending program. I get some of my ebooks from the library.

  40. You can consider buying New Kindle 3G/Wifi & Kindle Wifi

  41. Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 3G Works Globally, Graphite, 6″ Display with New E Ink Pearl TechnologyI’d read a booklet but I want silence and I watch television for Big Bang theory family man spongebob comedy or movies in general toss me a good e book and I’ll read it

  42. – Overall, Nook Color is more than e-Reader as you can also watch video and use Android applications on it. It’s a hybrid device, much more than just an e-Reader but not a full tablet as it doesn’t have a camera. If all you want is to read novels, Kindle (or the original e-Ink Nook) might be better for you. If you want something more from your device at half of the price of iPad or Galaxy tab, then Nook Color is your best bet.Forget Kindle, and Kobo, and Cruz, and Sony. Out of all eReaders on the market, Nook from Barnes & Noble is the best combination of price and features. Get Nook (3G or Wi-Fi) or Nook Color (Wi-Fi) from or any Barnes & Noble physical store or BestBuy or Walmart. 3G means the internet connection is included for free for the life of the device thus you can download a new book even when you’re walking on the street. Wi-Fi means that you need to have access to wireless hotspot – one example would be any Barnes & Noble store that provides free Wi-Fi to Nook’s or at your home. There’s over a million of free public ebooks as well as over a million of ebooks that you need to pay for available through Barnes & Noble eBook store. Prices are generally much lower than for physical books.
